"Aspects Of..." is Alasdair Thomson's photoblog. I live in Glasgow, Scotland and have a passion for photography which I pursue in my spare time.
I started this site in August 2007 to share my photos online with 2 aims: to receive constructive criticism on my photography and to act as a driver to get me out and about to take better photos.

I shoot RAW format and carry out post-processing in Adobe Photoshop. I am not afraid to develop the digital negative in Photoshop but I do agree with the philosophy of getting it right in camera. Most of the images posted here will have had exposure tweaked in Adobe Camera Raw and then some clean-up and curves to boost contrast. If I have done anything beyond this then I will try and comment on it in the information for each post.
I decided to develop the site from scratch and have used Microsoft Visual Web Express to design and code an ASP.NET 2.0 site that is hosted by GoDaddy.
